Yesterday I was getting ready to go pick my kids up from school and for some reason I felt compelled to go out to the dog kennel (the dogs were NOT in there). We rarely put our dogs in the kennel except for when we’re going to be gone all day. I was shocked by what I saw. Inside my dogs watering bucket were about 10-15 goldfish. Some of them were pretty big too. I immediately knew my son must have had something to do with this. About 2-3 weeks ago I had caught him catching goldfish in the horse trough and trying to sneak them into his bedroom in a mason jar. He was planning on keeping them as pets and giving them all names. I told my son the goldfish like their home in the horse trough and to go put them back out there. He wasn’t happy but he went and put them back.
I guess he must have figured that if he couldn’t keep the goldfish in his bedroom in a quart mason jar then keeping the goldfish in the dog’s watering bucket in the kennel would be okay.
Little boys are so much fun!
