I usually try to keep things tidy throughout the week but the nitty gritty of cleaning the bathrooms and such always get put off to the weekends. Vacuuming has to be done on Sundays and I do all three levels of the house. I think it would be nice to have someone help us once or twice a month because we both work and the weekend is our time off. We don't have kids yet, just two cats and the dog. He still manages to get all of his chew toys out of the crate and deposit them throughout the house though. Cats on the other hand have run of the place and just allow us to live with them.
