My daughter will be attending school in another town and will be living w/ my sister while going to school. She got a job at Lane Bryant and just up and quit her job at Subway. Now, I knew she would have to quit Subway, but she was getting about 18 hours a week to pay for her car, gas, insurance. Lane told her they would give her 15 hours a week....well, she gets EIGHT....and right now is driving about 50 miles to work....which means NO MONEY in the end. Then she thought that she should get her OWN cell phone at $80 a month....akkkkkk. Sheesh....I'm freaking out.....I guess she is going to have to learn some HARD lessons. I just keep praying...... I told her to tell them they deceived her about the hours and she would have to look elsewhere if they didn't increase them. Aren't the "I'm an adult, let me live my life" times fun? Great blog!!! Hopefully she learns her lesson now, later it could cost her so much more. My favorite thing about my job is how wonderful my boss is with my schedule. As long as I let him know as far in advance as possible, he doesn't have much of a problem with anything. (Of course, I'm always willing to help out when I can, so it's a bit of give and take.)
