My blog about life and getting out of debt.

A niche website that I built and launched about two weeks ago was taking forever for Google to cache. I’m new to all this webmaster stuff and really don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve taken some time to submit that particular website to a bunch of Web Directories and search engines. Last night I Googled the web site’s keywords and to my HUGE surprise it not only showed up on Google but it was the first listing!
I have a popshops store on that site, I’m mostly using merchants from commision junction. Popshops allows a website owner to set up stores easily, using multiple merchants. If you have a website and want to set up a store I high recommend popshops - it’s free!

Chicky - What do you want to know?
To find my “niche” I used “keyword discovery” - http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html - it’s a free keyword search. Of course I wanted something that gets a lot of hits. That’s how I found the niche I wanted to create.
Then I went to dynadot and looked for a .com (preferably) using my keywords. They also have a tool on dynadot that will suggest different combo of the keywords for you. When I found a domain I thought would work I went to my web hosting provider BLUEHOST and purchased the domain. Then I joined different merchants on commission junction. Signed up with popshops and created my store. I popped the code popshops gave me into my new sites pages and whoa I had a store! Now I’m just hoping I can sell something.
Edited to add: If you don’t want to put down $10 for a premium domain, godaddy has .info domains for only .99 each!
Pretty smart thinking there. I hope more people read and absorb this.
