My friend Rosa came over today to clean my house, she’s been my housekeeper for about 6 years (this is my one splurge). We were both cleaning up the kitchen and then I went into my bedroom to straighten up a little. I’m always scared she’ll quit because my house is so messy so I clean with her, crazy huh? She comes every other week to clean and only charges $60 per cleaning.
While I was in my bedroom cleaning up I heard her cell phone ringing and then her crying uncontrollably. I’m not good with adults crying and to tell the truth I had no idea what I should do. I could hear her speaking in Spanish and then sobbing, over and over. I waited until she got off the phone and then went to ask her what was wrong. She told me her dad had just died. How sad.
I’m so sorry her dad died, I had just asked her less than 20 minutes before how both her parents were doing and as far as she knew they were both good and then she got the news he was dead.

I agree, her dad passing is so sad. I don’t think he was very old either, early 60’s at most.
