Today is my husband’s last day at work! He’s officially jobless until Monday. I’m a little scared about the whole situation but I realize there really isn’t anything I can do about it.
Here’s the crappy part, his company cut off his credit cards two days ago and today they cut off his email. He was hoping to fill up his tank and get his truck detailed before they cut off the cards but they cut him off earlier than expected. Him getting free fuel was part of his job due to the extensive traveling he was required to do with his OWN truck. His truck needs a detailing to get it back into the condition it was in before he took this job. For two years he has been required to travel down 30+ mile dirt roads to get to his job so you can image how the interior of his truck looks. Oh well…
The new job that he’s starting on Monday will be employing his old company so I’m sure the old company will pay and them some.
A perk of his new company is that my Prince Charming gets to pick out his own company truck and he’s having fun with this. A little too much fun if you ask me! At least we aren’t financing this time though.
My Online Money
I can’t wait to give the report for the money I’ve made with my new niche blogs. Considering the websites are new and one of them is sandboxed by Google. I’m happy with what I’ve earned so far. I’ll be updating at the end of the month.
I can’t stand watching the news anymore
I’m a CNN junkie, I love watching news but with our economy the way it is right now and all the political bull shit, I can hardly stand to have the tv on. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way.
Pour some hot lava up his butt…
My husband’s ex-wife keeps drunk calling us. Thank GOD for caller ID! We choose not to take her calls. She’s the type of person that will argue about anything and everything and to argue back with her would be like arguing with your dog, they’ll never see your side of the story and chances are you’ll get bit (I love dogs but hate this woman).
At first she was leaving messages for my husband, she mumble drunkenly she wanted to “talk” and for him to call her back. Well my husband would rather get hot lava poured up his butt than talk to this woman so he never called her back. Now she’s calling for me! Yesterday she left a message for me saying her and her dad were coming to town today and wants to “meet” with me somewhere to talk. OMG, like I really need this! If I could go the rest of my lift and never see this nasty person I’d be a very happy woman.
So yesterday my husband texted his daughter (their daughter) at boarding school to find out what her mom wants now. She had no idea what her mom wanted and told us she wasn’t even related to her mother, didn’t talk to her and doesn’t want to talk to her. My husband and his daughter have a lot in common.
So where does this leave us? My husband won’t call her and neither will I. I had enough of her back when we had custody of thier daughter. All the death threats she’d make to me and my kids, there isn’t anyway I want anything to do with this woman and I refuse to have anything to do with her. She’s a drunk habitual liar and I don’t want my kids to even know what she looks like. This is a perk of my step-daughter living in boarding school, we deal with her directly and haven’t spoke to her mother in years!
We fished out a 16′ gate from a pile of gates I bought at a garage sale for $60 a few years back (we live on a ranch) and we plan on chaining this gate to our archway to blocking off our driveway so the skanky beotch can’t come snooping around our house, she hasn’t been here in seven years. If she’s feeling athletic she can hop the fence. We also put a no trespassing sign on the gate hoping to keep her out. We are leaving town and won’t be back until after dark. I know we are probably just stalling out the inevitable but at the same time I’m hoping maybe she’ll get a little drunker or maybe sober up and forget what it is that she’s wanting from us. Wishful thinking?

You’re in a difficult situation. I think that it was unfair for your husband’s job to cut off his credit cards before he was able to get his truck repaired. At least his company paid for gas. My husband works at a job now where they ask him to make 1-2 20 mile trips a week, without compensating him for gas or wear on his vehicle. Shouldn’t they give him compensation for this?

I would think your husband’s employer would HAVE to pay him the federal rate for mileage reimbursement for using his own vehicle for business purposes. Right now the rate is $0.505 cents a mile!
