I want to be debt free

in Get Out of Credit Card Debt, Purchase, debt, expenses, life

We’ve been out of town on a little business trip.  We won $300 gambling and  used this money to buy bedding for our bedroom, we haven’t had new sheets or a new comforter in 10 years or so.

While on this trip, I’ve spent way too much money on food and gasoline.  Thankfully our hotel room is going to be reimbursed by my husband’s company, I just hope they aren’t slow with reimbursement.

I had fun while this little vacation lasted and only charged gas, I paid cash for all meals.  Now it’s time for me to get serious about paying off this debt.  I had fun forgetting about the little debt monkey on my back for a glorious seven days but that’s over now.

Ugh… This debt is a nightmare!  I can only imagine what a great debt free life we would be living now if we had just managed to live within our means all these years.  I could careless about new cars and impressing people I don’t really even care about, I just want to live a debt free life and I want it now!  LOL

I’m feeling really down and a little helpless right now.  I’m sure this feeling will pass.

I put $20 in a quarter machine and cashed out at $56. A few hours later I put the $56 ticket back in and cashed out at $176 or so. So I made about $150 bucks on a poker video machine.

My man only gambles $40 at a time but had to play $5 a hand. He made about $50 at blackjack at one casino and then another $150 or so at another casino. We ended up making about $300.

I’m like your mom gambling just about kills me, I can’t take the stress.

I’m just happy my husband agreed to cash out with me and apply the money towards new bedding. I ended up getting some Tommy Bahama bedding from Burlington Coat Factory for less than $200!

I also had a nice little trip out of town that ended up costing me much more than I thought. I feel so out of control…. Looking forward to seeing what you do about your debt situation.

Your debt is measly compared to my family’s nightmare of a debt. $91K of bad, ugly, 100% pure debt (not including mortgage).

Feel better?
