J. Money - Thanks! I can't tell you how good it feels to have some money again. Maria - I wish I could say my husband has changed his mind about buying a new truck but I'm afraid he's got "new truck fever". Scary... The Frugalist - Normally we wouldn't have been able to survive two weeks, let alone over a month without a paycheck. I think this blog has everything to do with us having money in the bank. Jim - Yeah, we cut it too close for comfort. I didn't mention this before be I actually had to borrow $1,000 from my 11 year old daughter to get us through this close call. I figured I'd be better off paying her some interest instead of paying the bank for a few bounced check fees. I'm embarrassed to admit I had to borrow money but it is what it is. I told my daughter about me borrowing the money after I had paid her back with an additional $50 and she understood. JW Thornhill - I got lucky this time, we really cut it close!
