I hear you about slow progress. My partner and I have $1,100 in credit card debt (almost done!)--and $50,000 in student loans waiting for us when we're done with the cards. Thankfully the student loans are low-interest, but it's still $50,000! Plus, we're paying out of pocket for tuition right now and trying to repair our house. Debt reduction/elimination can be frustratingly slow at times.

I got rid of my blog not because I'm giving up getting out of debt. The blog became a distraction where I felt I was constantly defending the actions we were taking. We had some good posts about spending money and not increasing debt, and still got blasted by people regarding our spending. Some people just get so focused on paying off debt they forget to live a little. We're reducing our credit card debt each month, and it will get paid off without needing the blog. I write about what is going on as we pay off our debt for myself now.

great blog and I like the way you have addressed the issue of getting out of debt. I've been in a similar situation for 4 years now, I've tried everything from loans to debt consolidation programs. Most debt blogs lack consistency, patience and passion. I started a blog which can be found here. I emphasis on debt issues. I will add you to my blogroll.
