I’m taking a huge leap in paying off credit card debt. I got so excited about my credit card consolidation and the low balance this consolidation left on my Chase credit card that I decided to do a credit card payoff and now I’m down to two credit cards! This is a HUGE balance to have on only two cards. I have my interest rates locked in really low – below 4%.

Looks like next month my credit card payoff (payments) will have my credit card debt in the $34K bracket!!! How exciting is that? By the end of summer (providing everything goes according to plan) I should be down to $29,000 or so. I know I’m a LONG ways from being debt free but I’m starting to see the way out of this debt hole I’ve been living in.

Debt consolidation really sometimes helps but it should be the last option to choose.
