Another month has flown by. Here’s my new credit card update. I’ll have another update in a few days because I ended up making another $250 payment to Citibank this morning which will put my credit card debt at $16,924! 
This payment will take a few days to show up on mint.com which is where I track all my credit card debt and get the snapshot. —->>>
I had been hoping to pay off the credit credit cards a little more this month but we ended up having a lot of unexpected expenses, due to a truck breaking down a very long ways away from home. The repair job plus travel to go get the fixed truck ended up costing around $2,500+. Luckily for us the money came out of our savings. If this vehicle breakdown had happened two years ago we couldn’t have handled it. My credit cards were maxed out and our savings were non-existent. I’m not sure what I would have done. Thankfully I found Dave Ramsey and started following his “get out debt” program! If you are in debt and looking for a way out, get his book, it’s truly changed my life! I can’t say enough good things about it. If you don’t want to make the purchase then go check the book out of your local library.
Last week I was looking at our credit reports which I try to keep an eye on a few times a year and I found my credit score was 824! I check my credit reports to make sure nothing shady is going on and boy was I surprised my credit score was so high. I think it’s gone up since I started paying my credit cards online every month. I no longer have late payments or late fees. I don’t plan on financing anything ever again so I guess ultimately my score really doesn’t matter.
